How Long Does it Take? It could take anywhere from 1-12 months or more. This includes waiting period for the child to become available, court proceedings and preparation of civil documents.

What Does this Processing Fee Cover? It covers expenses that incur in Pakistan to locate a child, conduct medical examination, take custody of the child from local administration, court fees, lawyer's fee, birth registration and Passport processing fee.
It does not include expenses that adoptive parents have to pay for their travel, stay, food and a donation that they might have to pay to the orphanage, hospital or the Christian Mission. The amount of donation has to be decided by the adoptive parents themselves and there is no obligation.
In case the child has to be left in our care, a fortnightly lump-sum of US $500 would also be charged. This covers the clothes, food, diapers, child's nursing, daily care and initial immunizations. Hospitalization and similar medical treatment expenses are not covered.
So how can one get started? One must, first of all register with us (registration is FREE), provide a copy of an approval notice of I-600A petition, a copy of home-study, proof of marriage and of sound financial status. We in Pakistan make decision on the basis of these documents.
If approved, they will be asked to register with us as well as with institutions like orphanages, hospitals, Christian missions etc. We will provide registration forms with a corresponding list of documents to be submitted to each of these institutions. This registration puts them on a waiting list.
What Happens When a Child Becomes Available for Adoption? As soon as a child becomes available for adoption, we will inform the adoptive parents and provide them with details on health, age and sex of the child. In some exceptional cases we can also provide photos or a video whichever possible under the circumstances.
The adoptive parents must inform us about their decision as per instructions according to the prevailing situation (generally within 24 hours or less). If adoptive parents agree to take the child, we will initiate local administrative procedures on behalf of the adoptive parents to acquire custody and file the case in the court for adoption.
When Do the New Parents Need to Travel to Pakistan? They can do so whenever they feel like. Should one decide to travel, three things must be kept in mind. a) Time required to locate an eligible child b) Time required to prepare the court* and civil documents............. and finally c) Time required to **file I-600 and process*** the US immigrant visa.
Who does not Qualify as an Adoptive Parent? We do not provide services to same sex or single parents. They are not eligible for adoption in Pakistan.
